Ever wondered what to do with that alien-looking, lime green vegetable called a Romanesco? Find out at
You definately need a plant identification book, or a cd rom; also collect veg seed catalogues (they're free!). Trawl charity shops for gardening books and check out the internet. Google for "bbc gardening magazine" and check out the sites that come up.
I wouldn't dig upany of the mature plants you've inherited until you've identified them and definately know you don't want them; even then don't throw them away, you may be able to swap them with someone else.
Veggies are usually sown in neat rows to help you tell which are the weeds. The easiest thing to do is find some nice local gardener who can spare you an hour to walk round and point out the most obvious weeds. Most gardeners are amazingly generous with their time, advice and spare seeds. See if theres a local allotment group, they might help and you could offer to do a bit of weeding as a thank you.
Just keep watering, and feeding everything once a week. Late autumn you can fork it all over and start again, except for you parsnips which can be left until you want them.
You are going to make loads of mistakes; don't worry about it and don't quit. I've been gardening for 20 years, and only 10 years ago I made my best mistake. I was turning over an old neglected allotment and found a load of asparagus crowns. I planted them all in a neat row, hoping they'd come up again the next year; when I had a load of old hands pointing out the neat row of Thistles. Doh!
Dig the plants up with a garden fork so that you can see that you have got all the root.. Get them before they seed – could be a bit late now.
The burn mentioned above is excellent.
I put my perennials on the sidewalk with a "Free to a good home" sign. Gone in an hour.

And thats OK?
I usually do olive, but some how that seems wrong for Indian, Mediterranean, Thai, Pacific Rim cooking. Maybe Coconut Oil?
Well obviously without a flux capacitor you're basically screwed because it's what makes time travel possible. If you're close to the year 1885, you could wait around until then and contact Dr. Emmett Brown. It also takes at least 1.21 gigawatts to start up a time machine…
niceeee,i knew it from so you think you can dance too…its amazing when i saw courtney and mark dance to this song!
Last week I mentioned the new JOOS Solar charger that had been unveiled promising to produce 20X more power than other personal solar chargers on the market. That device is aimed at charging mobile phones and MP3 players. If you want a solar charger for larger items like your notebook or netbook, the Sunforce 50044 offers up to 60W of power. The Sunforce 50044 60W solar charging kit is available now on Amazon for $299.99 with free shipping. The device is designed for RVs, cabins, homes, boats, and other uses where it can be mounted. The design is weather proof and the maker claims it can survive hailstones traveling as fast at 50mph. The kit includes four solar panels each producing 15W of power, a 200W power-inverter, 7-amp solar charge module, and a wiring kit for installation. The device has blue LEDs that show when it is charging. The kit will produce enough power for most netbooks and lots of notebooks and other devices out there. You will need some space to install this kit with…

The hydrogenated vegetable oil goes back into a solid state at room temperature. If a recipe calls for liquid oil, the texture and consistency will be different, especially if the food is allowed to cool.
Hydrogenated oil is bad for you anyway (trans fats). You are better off with plain vegetable oil.
it worked for me!! haa
thanks for your comment. if you don’t like it that’s fine, and by the way, this was a school project a few years back when i was attending YSDN. I’ve been in a the business a few years now, i always educate my clients. If you can back yourself up with everything you put on your canvas, you have a good argument. 80% of the time i can persuade the client to go my way. the 20% of the time you really didn’t hit their spot.
cover w/ newspapers, leaves, they also sell what I call weeper hoses which drip water at the base of plant. next year, put in lots of organic material like potting mix, natures helper etc. one last thing, most plants don't like wet feet (roots) you want to water them, but have well drained soil
Facebook plans to announce the availability of a firehose of user data at its F8 developers conference in April, we believe based on research. Such an offering could be similar to the firehose that Twitter has shared with large partners and select small developers building the famous Twitter ecosystem of 3rd party applications around the web. A Facebook representative did not offer a denial, saying only that the company would not comment on speculation. The huge social network was once private by default, then made controversial changes in December that pushed hundreds of millions of users toward publishing their information in public and now appears aimed to complete the about-face at its F8 developer conference by offering up public user data in a huge river that outside parties can consume, analyze and build on top of. Sponsor If what people call Web 2.0 was all about creating new technologies that made it easy for everyday people to publish their thoughts, social connections and…
